What To Expect For NY Fashion Week 2018
New York, New York, welcome to the style mecca. Although some big brands, like Rodarte, moved their shows to Paris this season, NYC still holds some of the most coveted first rows.
This year, the CFDA stepped forward and combined men’s and women’s shows into one comprehensive week rather than running two separate events. From February 5th to 7th most of the men's shows will take place, and women’s will follow opening with Tom Ford show till Valentine's Day closing with Marc Jacobs.
This year’s NYFW will also feature two new additions to the schedule, Italian design house Bottega Veneta and Stuart Weitzman are the two new additions to the schedule and, Ralph Lauren along with Narcisco Rodriguez, feature some of the designers that are coming back to the big apple.
The new trend is stepping out of the confort zone, aka the Upper East Side, and embrace some outter locations such as Bushwick in Brooklin.
Which kind of outfits do we expect? Honestly, due to New York’s iconic cold weather, but also because it's an easy way to let creativity flow, we expect a lot of layers along with puffy jackets and checkered suits.
For this FW make sure to follow #runwayinmotion hashtag to watch the shows as they happen.
