5-Minute Holiday Makeup Looks to Try This Season
So... you have the perfect off the rack designer dress and Manolo pumps and now don't know what makeup look to style with it? Don't worry we have all been there. With so many parties, lunches, Secret Santa's and shopping events to go to, we sometimes forget to think about what makeup look to go with our outfit, but trust me, the most important accessory to an outfit. You can repeat outfits with a totally different makeup look and it seems like a completely new outfit.
These are some of my favourite timeless makeup looks for the holiday season!
She always knows how its done! Will soft gold glitter from the neck down, a statement red lip and hair slicked back. This is the festive go-to look. Super easy to do and goes with pretty much everything. You will look amazing at any type of event with this look.
If you are looking for more of a stunner makeup look check out Linda Hallberg. She is an amazing makeup artist that takes makeup to another level and creates the most amazing looks especially for holiday seasons. This is just an example of one of their deep coloured looks, with glossy blue lids and a natural mate lip. This would look amazing at a night Christmas event!
Smoke it up! There is something about a well done smokey eye that screams effortless and timeless look! If you have a little extra time before a Christmas party or event, take your time to do a well done smokey eye with help from beauty guru Nikkietutorials.
Between 2016 and 2017 we saw so much glitter at Fashion Week, but the place where i loved seeing glitter the most was on the lips!! Everyone from Chanel, Burberry, Versace among others sported there fantastic garments with 'barely there' makeup and bold glitter lips! Perfect for the Holiday season sipping wine and dancing all night!
Another one of my favourite looks has to be the youthful look from Chanel's Haute Couture 2014 runway show. Pretty golden cheeks and a intense top and bottom liner! Gold glitter and dark green! My favourite combo. You can have fun with this look! You can go for a basic black liner on the top or change it up with a burgundy red or green, and as for the bottom glitter liner you can do the same. Maybe go for a rose gold or subtle copper glitter and you will chine like a Christmas decoration.
Or you could always go for a more natural and look. Golden bronzers to light up your skin, tons of mascara for a more dramatic, intense look and a natural mate or glossy lip.
The most important thing about choosing what makeup look to go for is that you feel comfortable and pretty. Don't try something if you are not going to feel good in it, because the most important person in your life is you!
