How to travel for New Years on a budget

How to travel for New Years on a budget

Have you already asked yourself what are you going to do for New Years eve? If you don‘t have any plans yet and are still waiting for someone to invite you to their boring house party, take the lead yourself! We are here to help you out travel the world and begin 2018 the way you will always remember. And you know what‘s the best part? You won‘t need to spend thousands to have this experience.

BUY YOUR TICKETS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

If you want to travel by plane, it is best to buy your tickets 2-3 months before the actual flight. It is the best timing to find the cheapest flights, because the prices are still at normal levels and no one is yet reserving the seats abruptly. It‘s already a month left until the actual New Years eve, so if I were you, I would hurry to arrange all of the plans!

DISTRIBUTE YOUR MONEY WISELY

Make a plan of the expenses in advance. This way you will be able to know how much money you actually need to save until the trip and also, you will kind of be tied up to the amount of money you can spend. So if you plan on going all in on the New Years eve, maybe save some money and choose cheaper hotel or spend less on the food before the big evening. Just try and plan your finances the most convenient way for yourself, according to what you are determined to spend the most of your money.

TRAVEL BY CAR

If there is a group of friends that you want to spend New Years with, travel by car if possible. Choose a destination that is not extremely far away, grab a car and start your journey. Divide the fuel costs between each other and switch who is driving on the way so that there is no one completely exhausted from the trip. Note: road trip playlist is a must.

STAY IN HOSTELS

It might not sound most safe or cozy for some, but there are actually pretty good hostels that cost much less than hotel rooms. Just do your research whenever you‘re going and read reviews. If there is a group of you traveling, you may even have a chance to get the whole hostel room for yourselves, just try arranging it with the staff before coming.
